On April 10th, the Assistive Devices and Elderly Care Rehabilitation Exchanges of the Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2019, which took its third station into Taiwan, China, following its last two successful opening in Shandong and Henan last month, was successfully held at Howard Plaza Hotel in Taipei.

Leaders from China Assistive Devices and Technology Centre for Persons with Disabilities, Chinese Association of Assistive Technology, Taiwan Long Term Care Association, The Elderly Services Association of Hong Kong, Cross-Strait Elderly Care Industry Association, Cross-Strait Health Care Association, China Silver Industry Association in New Taipei City in Taiwan, Guangzhou Poly Jinhan Exhibition Co., Ltd., representatives from nearly 60 Taiwan enterprises engaged in production and services of assistive devices, including Tehlin, Karma, FREE Bionics, Memstec, DR. Paul, JC Medical, and Bedding World, as well as delegates from local renowned media such as Health Essence of Asia (HEA), TradeWinds, and ĀnkěCare magazine attended the conference. The conference site was packed with enthusiastic interaction.

Assistive Devices and Elderly Care Rehabilitation Exchanges (Taiwan)
 
Mr. Shou Minghua, Founding Director of Chinese Association of Assistive Technology, and Ms. Lin Hanya, President of Taiwan Long Term Care Association, delivered welcome speeches. They respectively introduced the rich experience and advanced models of assistive devices and elderly care in Taiwan. With an emphasis on the high complementation and broad space for cooperation of cross-strait health care for elderly, they expressed intense intention to continuously join hands with the Expo to lead Taiwan enterprises to explore the mainland market of assistive devices.

Mr. Chen Jianlin, Director of Tehlin Co., Ltd., introduced the company’s years of experience in the research and development of and the adaptive services for prosthetic devices, as well as the tangible achievements from the one-stop docking of professional visitors such as institutions for the disabled, medical institutions, and assistive device users by exhibiting in the Expo.

Mr. Guo Youji, Deputy General Manager of Greater China Region of Karma Co., Ltd., shared the company’s development of nearly 2,000 points-of-sale in the mainland in the past 12 years, and the experience of Taiwan companies in developing markets and continuing operations in the mainland. He said that the Disabled Persons’ Federation system is a targeted entry for Taiwan assistive devices to enter the mainland market, and with the advantaged resource of Disabled Persons’ system, the Expo will become an important platform for Taiwan enterprises to export their assistive devices.

She stated that the Expo would continue to deepen the consensus on cooperation with Taiwan industry bodies and enterprises, and play a better role of window and platform to bring in more high-tech, intelligent, high-quality assistive devices, so as to promote cross-strait industrial cooperation to create new business opportunities. She also presented the highlights in exhibition area planning, exhibition internationalization, participating brands, concurrent activities and marketing throughout the year, drawing high attention of the enterprises present.

It is reported that during the exhibition, China Disabled Persons’ Federation will cooperate with organizations such as World Health Organization and Rehabilitation International to host the 2nd “The Belt and Road High-level Event on Disability Cooperation”, bringing together leaders from relevant departments at home and abroad to advance exchanges for the inclusive development of disabled persons. The 3rd Global Conference on Assistive Devices and Technology will be held concurrently. Meanwhile, nearly 30 high-end events, including professional forums, interactive experiences, trade docking and new product launches will be held to assist the Expo to create an extremely appealing and content-rich industry event with major international influence.

Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2019 will be held at China National Convention Center in Beijing from October 10th to 12th. Covering as much as 25,000 m2, this Expo is expected to attract 350 well-known enterprises of rehabilitation, assistive devices and elderly care and health from all over the world to exhibit, and about 50,000 professional visitors to purchase.
